VOL. 2 – FLASHBACK
The moment I had recorded the final track on Volume 1 – Introducing, I knew there was no way I was coming out of it that early, there simply had to be follow ups… I had by then effectively ‘signed’ up to do not only one but a series of #DESKO volumes. For Volume 2 I created 10 songs that had echoes of flashbacks to my own twenties but also recent artists that themselves had had retro styled Disco influenced hit records such as Kylie, Wham and even Lenny Kravitz falsetto styled 70s Disco. There is no distinct direction overall, very much as is the same across most volumes, more a feeling of sub-conscience of good or bad. There is even a Disco Christmas song ‘Cheek to cheek – the Christmas #DESKO way’ on volume 2 and a wanna-be Eurovision entry ‘Mayday’.
