Scandinavian Music Brand #DESKO (read Disco) has set eyes on re-booting of the late 70s early to mid-80s Electronic Disco, 2024 style. After years of lockdowns, and now economic doldrums, maybe time is now to remember to have fun again, thus the launch from music Brand bySaabye of #DESKO, the (very personal) re-boot of the soundtrack from founder Saabye’s very young teens.

“I remember the first time I listened to Disco, and it hit me like a thunder-ball. Here was a beat that even a shy-ish pre-teen could tap along to with ultra catchy choruses and thumbing bass lines. Guess I always was more into the European brand of Disco back then, Boney M, Giorgio Moroder to Do Ya Think I’m Sexy by Rod Stewart than the obviously also amazing American brand of post Motown Disco…. I guess it was the synths, the sequences, the Britishness vibe.”
