I could write a book about the person behind this rare Jazz kind of Song from me. Such fun yet such trouble same time but I wouldn’t have missed it all for minute.

I can see many an element of myself in this song, the lust for life, this is a song written about somebody truly special that I met a year or so before he passed away last Christmas.

An intelligent, fun loving person that simply loved life and lived it to the fullest, but also made strong headwinds along his way, I hope he’s forgiven by now, I know how he felt so sorry about it.

He was also a person that was not to go quiet, that enjoyed performing, had music in his bones, and kept us all entertained.

I wrote this song for him in an afternoon for him to sing on his legacy album he planned to record. I wanted him to sing it, but he said… “I want this version, exactly as is and it has to be the first song” even as I said that the double bass was played on my mini synth and the drums was me hitting some keys.

The day he died, this song died too, had no idea how to throw it a life line, that until, I put it as the last song at my liveshows, only me and the piano, the stage is set, one stage lamp only, and then by the last note… off goes the lights.
